Notice:   Because the primary pollutant for the DFW region is ozone, we have chosen to display specific charts, data and images reflective of this pollutant’s measured concentrations. Therefore, the numbers above correspond specifically with ozone concentrations. They are not an indication of the overall Air Quality Index (AQI). For a more detailed explanation of AQI and it’s components please refer to one of these websites: EPA AIRNow, National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS), or AQI as per TCEQ.  Ozone levels have been mapped to colors based on a projected eight-hour average calculated from the measured one-hour levels.
