Therefore, the numbers above correspond specifically with ozone concentrations. They are not an indication of the overall Air Quality Index (AQI). For a more detailed explanation of AQI and it’s components please refer to one of these websites: EPA AIRNow, National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS), or AQI as per TCEQ.  Ozone levels have been mapped to colors based on a projected eight-hour average calculated from the measured one-hour levels.
